Behind the Scenes

My friend and former college roomate, Marianne, just shared this song on her blog. I have never heard it before but I really like Francesca Battistelli and these lyrics are so very powerful.  This is often how I feel as I'm sure there are many of you out there who feel like this too at times.  I just wanted to share these beautiful lyrics with you!

Behind the Scenes

You may think
I’m just fine
How could anything
Ever be out of line?
I take my time
To set the stage
To make sure everything
Is all in place
Even though I’ve got the lines rehearsed
A picture only paints a thousand words

Things aren’t always what they seem
You’re only seeing part of me
There’s more than you could ever know
Behind the scenes
I’m incomplete and I’m undone
But I suppose like everyone
There’s so much more that’s going on
Behind the scenes

Sometimes I can’t see
Anything
Through the dark
Surrounding me
And at times I’m unsure
About the ground
Beneath my feet
If it’s safe and sound
When it’s hard to find hope in the unseen
I have peace in knowing it will find me

Things aren’t always what they seem
You’re only seeing part of me
There’s more than you could ever know
Behind the scenes
I’m incomplete and I’m undone
But I suppose like everyone
There’s so much more that’s going on
Behind the scenes

You may think I’m just fine
How could anything ever be out of line

High Bun

I just recently permed my hair-gasp!!! And I actually LOVE it!!! I have normally stick straight hair and for as long as I can remember, I have wanted curly hair-isn't that how it always is...I finally found a hair dresser that would perm it and I love having the option of wearing my hair curly or straight.

My hair is basically wash and go (wash, comb, spray and scrunch), but there are some days that I either don't have time or just don't feel like washing my hair. I have just recently discovered the PERFECT updo for dirty hair- The High Bun! I ran across the tutorial at Michaela Noelle's Blog while looking for hair styles for one of my boards on pinterest.  All I can say is she is amazing! Go here to see the high bun tutorial

This literally took me all of 2 minutes and all I used was a pony tail holder and 2 bobby pins! LOVE!

Pinterest

Yes, I have jumped on the Pinterest band wagon and I love it!
Here are a couple of things that I pinned today to my Dreams, Fairy-tales and Inspiration board:

This would be a perfect little getaway cottage in the woods!

And this would be perfect for a proper southern front porch!!

Welcome to my little blog, pull up a seat, grab a glass of sweet iced tea and enjoy the reading!
